The store owner decided to raise the price of a particular item by exactly 10%,

so the new price must be = x *110 /100

= 1.1x

So, The new number must be 1.1 times the original price.

here,

option A 10* 1.1 = 11 $

option B 8 * 1.1 = 8.80 $

option D 71 * 1.1 = 78.1 $ can be new prices

Now, check option (c)

1.1x = 57.30

So, x = 57.30/1.1 ~ 52.09 (Approximately)

So (C) cannot be new price
